Editing Project Block Definitions

Command

Command Description
ATEDIT_PROJECT_BLOCK_DEFINITIONS Open the Project Block Definition Editor

Ribbon: FireCAD > Edit > Project Block Definitions

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

The ATEDIT_PROJECT_BLOCK_DEFINITIONS command opens the Block Definition Editor dialog, which lets you view and edit the block definitions stored in your project database. These are the device and component blocks that are available for placement in your project drawings.

Steps

  1. Type ATEDIT_PROJECT_BLOCK_DEFINITIONS in the AutoCAD command line
  2. The Block Definition Editor dialog opens
  3. Browse, edit, or manage the block definitions in your project
  4. Close the dialog when finished

Tips

  • Project block definitions are copies of master blocks imported during project creation or via ATUPDATE_PROJECT
  • Changes here affect only this project — the master database is not modified
  • To edit the master block library, use ATEDIT_MASTER_BLOCK_DEFINITIONS instead
