Small, signed Windows programs that fix the most common FireCAD environment problems in one step. Each is a single .exe with no installation. Download the one that matches your symptom, run it, and read what it reports before confirming anything.

The links download the tool directly. Each one is described below in the same order, including how to run it.
All four are published by Cadgen Software LLC and signed with our code-signing certificate.
That is because the file is new and has not yet built a download reputation. Choose Keep in the browser's download list, then right-click the file, open Properties and tick Unblock. If SmartScreen still shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info then Run anyway. Check that the publisher shown is Cadgen Software LLC.
Settings Reset and Menu Repair
Download: FireCadSettingsReset.exe
Diagnoses a missing FireCAD ribbon or menu and offers the smallest fix first: option 1 repairs the menu and keeps every other setting; option 2 is a full reset of workspace, ribbon and palette state, kept as backups. Covers FireCAD 2027, 2026 and 2024.
- Close FireCAD first.
- Do not run as Administrator. It works on the settings of the user who runs it; elevated, it would repair the administrator's profile instead.
- Nothing is deleted. Full instructions, including how to restore, are in FireCAD Settings Reset and Menu Repair Utility.
Temp File Cleanup
Download: FireCAD-CleanTemp.exe
A full %TEMP% folder is the usual cause of AutoCAD's "All of the possible directories for storing temporary files either do not exist or are read-only" message, and of PDF imports that leave hundreds of image files behind. The tool scans your temp folder, shows exactly what it can delete and how much space that frees, and deletes only after you type YES.
- Files held open by a running program, including AutoCAD and FireCAD, are detected and left alone.
- Press
Lat the prompt to page through the full list before deciding. - Run it as yourself; no elevation is needed.
NVMe Sector Size Fix
Download: NVMeSectorSizeFix.exe
New Windows 11 PCs often ship with NVMe drives that report a 4 KB physical sector size, which SQL Server LocalDB cannot start on. FireCAD then reports "There is an issue with your installation. Please contact support. Error occurred during LocalDB instance startup: SQL Server process failed to start." The tool applies the registry setting Microsoft documents for this case.
- Right-click and Run as administrator. It writes a machine-wide registry value.
- Restart the PC afterwards, then launch FireCAD.

Note that this is not the same error as "SQL Server LocalDB is not installed". That one is fixed by installing LocalDB; see FireCAD 2026 - Common Installation Issues.
Uninstaller
Download: FireCAD-Uninstaller.exe
Removes FireCAD Standalone (any year) and the FireCAD Add-in for AutoCAD, including broken or partial installs where the normal uninstaller is missing or fails. The Apps & Features entries do not remove FireCAD Standalone correctly, so use this tool when FireCAD has to come off a machine completely, for example before a clean reinstall or when moving a license.
- Right-click and Run as administrator.
- It scans the machine, lists every FireCAD product it found as a numbered choice with exactly what will be removed, and asks you to confirm before it changes anything.
--whatifon the command line reports without changing anything. - If a product's own uninstaller opens a window, finish it there. The tool waits, shows the elapsed time, and after two minutes lets you press
Sto skip a stalled uninstaller and clean up the leftovers itself. - Your projects (
.atpx) and databases (.mdf,.ldf) are never touched. Settings folders are renamed with an.uninstall-backupsuffix, not deleted. - Reboot before reinstalling. Reinstall from the links in FireCAD 2026 Install Instructions and Download Links.
