Overview
Validates all segments and devices in the active drawing, deletes any orphaned database records (records that no longer correspond to drawing entities), and updates all labels.
Steps
- Type
ATDELETE_ORPHANSin the AutoCAD command line - FireCAD scans for orphaned records
- Orphaned records are deleted from the database
- All device and wirepath labels are updated
When to Use
- After deleting entities directly in AutoCAD (without using FireCAD commands)
- When the database contains records for entities that no longer exist in the drawing
- As a cleanup step after drawing modifications
Tips
- This performs segment and device validation before cleanup
- Labels refresh automatically after orphan deletion
