Command Description
ATSPLINE Interactive spline drawing with automatic device trimming
ATQUICK_SPLINE Quick spline between two devices

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

FireCAD provides enhanced spline drawing tools that automatically trim at device block boundaries. Splines create smooth curved paths between devices.

ATSPLINE — Interactive Spline

  1. Type ATSPLINE in the AutoCAD command line
  2. Click to place control points along the desired path
  3. The spline automatically trims at device block boundaries
  4. Press Enter or Escape to finish

ATQUICK_SPLINE — Quick Spline

  1. Type ATQUICK_SPLINE in the AutoCAD command line
  2. Select the starting device
  3. Select the ending device
  4. A spline is created between the two devices with tangent control vectors

Tips

  • Splines provide smoother curves than polylines for organic routing paths
  • Use ATCONVERT_SPLINES_TO_PLINES to convert splines to polylines if needed later
