Overview

These commands convert between polyline and spline geometry types. This is useful when you need to change the entity type for compatibility with specific tools or workflows.

Converting Polylines to Splines

1. Type ATCONVERT_PLINES_TO_SPLINES in the AutoCAD command line
2. Select the polylines to convert
3. The polylines are replaced with spline equivalents

Converting Splines to Polylines

1. Type ATCONVERT_SPLINES_TO_PLINES in the AutoCAD command line
2. Select the splines to convert
3. The splines are replaced with polyline equivalents

When to Use

• When wirepath routing needs a different entity type
• For compatibility with tools that only work with one geometry type
