Validating Segments

Command

Command Description
ATVALIDATE_SEGMENTS Validate all segments and update wirepath labels

Ribbon: FireCAD > Validation > Validate Segments

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

The ATVALIDATE_SEGMENTS command validates segment data integrity and updates wirepath labels. Unlike ATVALIDATE, this command focuses specifically on segments and does not update device labels.

Steps

  1. Type ATVALIDATE_SEGMENTS in the AutoCAD command line
  2. FireCAD validates all segments in the active drawing
  3. Wirepath labels update to reflect the validated data

When to Use

  • After routing or rerouting wirepaths
  • When wirepath labels appear incorrect
  • When segment data needs to be validated without touching device data

Tips

  • Faster than ATVALIDATE when you only need segment validation
  • Device labels are not affected by this command
