Refreshing Labels

Command

Command Description
ATREFRESH_LABELS Fast label refresh — regenerate labels from cached data

Ribbon: FireCAD > Validation > Refresh All Labels

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

The ATREFRESH_LABELS command regenerates all device and wirepath labels on the active drawing using cached data. This is a fast operation that recalculates computed values (labels, addresses, summaries) without reloading entity data from the database.

Steps

  1. Type ATREFRESH_LABELS in the AutoCAD command line
  2. Labels regenerate throughout the active drawing

When to Use

  • After making formatting changes that affect label display
  • When labels appear stale or incorrect
  • After operations that modify computed values but not underlying entity data
  • As a general "refresh" when labels don't look right

Tips

  • This is the fast version — it does not reload data from the database
  • If labels are still incorrect after ATREFRESH_LABELS, use ATREFRESH_LABELS_FULL instead
