Updating All Circuit Paths

Command

Command Description
ATUPDATE_ALL_CIRCUIT_PATHS Recalculate wirepath labels for all circuits

Ribbon: FireCAD > Wirepath > Update All Wire Labels

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

The ATUPDATE_ALL_CIRCUIT_PATHS command recalculates wirepath labels for all circuits in the active drawing using the shortest-path algorithm. It validates segments and devices, purges any orphaned records, and then updates all wirepath labels.

Steps

  1. Type ATUPDATE_ALL_CIRCUIT_PATHS in the AutoCAD command line
  2. FireCAD validates all segments and devices
  3. Orphaned records are purged
  4. Wirepath labels are recalculated for all circuits
  5. The drawing updates with new labels

When to Use

  • After making significant changes to multiple circuits
  • When wirepath labels appear incorrect or out of sync
  • As a comprehensive refresh of all circuit path calculations

Tips

  • For updating a single circuit's paths, use ATUPDATE_CIRCUIT_PATHS instead
  • This performs more work than ATREFRESH_LABELS — it recalculates paths, not just regenerates labels
