Refreshing Validation

Command

Command Description
ATDESIGN_ASSISTANT_REFRESH Re-run Design Assistant validation with fresh data

Prerequisites

  • The Design Assistant palette must be open

Overview

The ATDESIGN_ASSISTANT_REFRESH command triggers a fresh validation run in the Design Assistant. This ensures the results reflect the latest database state, including any changes made since the last validation run.

Steps

  1. Type ATDESIGN_ASSISTANT_REFRESH in the AutoCAD command line
  2. The Design Assistant re-runs all validation rules with fresh database data
  3. Updated results appear in the palette

When to Use

  • After modifying circuit configurations in the Project Circuits Editor
  • After connecting or disconnecting devices
  • After updating device properties that affect validation (current limits, battery sizes)
  • After generating or updating reports

Tips

  • This command blocks until validation is complete
  • Each refresh creates a new database context to ensure fresh data (not cached values)
