Removing Address Overrides

ATREMOVE_OVERRIDE_ADDRESS Remove manual address overrides from selected devices

Ribbon: FireCAD > Circuits > Unlock Device Address

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

The ATREMOVE_OVERRIDE_ADDRESS command removes any manual address overrides from selected devices, restoring automatic address calculation (or the locked address, if the circuit has locked addresses).

Steps

  1. Type ATREMOVE_OVERRIDE_ADDRESS in the AutoCAD command line
  2. Select the device(s) to remove overrides from
  3. Device labels update to show the automatically calculated or locked address

Tips

  • After removing an override, the device returns to normal addressing behavior
  • If the circuit has locked addresses, the device shows its locked address
  • If the circuit has no locks, the device shows its auto-calculated address based on sequence position
