Command

Command Description
ATEDIT_ASSEMBLY Edit assembly configuration for a selected device

Ribbon: FireCAD > Edit > Assembly Editor

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

The ATEDIT_ASSEMBLY command opens the Assembly Editor for a selected device. Assemblies are multi-component devices (e.g., a combination speaker/strobe) where multiple device components are grouped into a single physical unit.

Steps

  1. Type ATEDIT_ASSEMBLY in the AutoCAD command line
  2. Select a single device in the drawing
  3. The Assembly Editor dialog opens with the device's assembly configuration
  4. Edit the assembly components and settings
  5. Close the dialog to apply changes

Tips

  • Assemblies affect how devices are represented in reports (grouped vs. individual components)
  • Assembly changes may affect circuit connections if component types change
