Overview
The ATEDIT_ASSEMBLY command opens the Assembly Editor for a selected device. Assemblies are multi-component devices (e.g., a combination speaker/strobe) where multiple device components are grouped into a single physical unit.
Steps
- Type
ATEDIT_ASSEMBLYin the AutoCAD command line - Select a single device in the drawing
- The Assembly Editor dialog opens with the device's assembly configuration
- Edit the assembly components and settings
- Close the dialog to apply changes
Tips
- Assemblies affect how devices are represented in reports (grouped vs. individual components)
- Assembly changes may affect circuit connections if component types change
