ATRESET_CIRCUIT_TEMPLATES |
Reapply circuit and device type templates to the entire project |
Prerequisites
- A FireCAD project must be open
Overview
The ATRESET_CIRCUIT_TEMPLATES command reapplies all circuit and device type templates to the project, syncing template-defined properties and current values across all circuits and device types. This effectively resets circuit configurations to match their template definitions.
Steps
- Type
ATRESET_CIRCUIT_TEMPLATESin the AutoCAD command line - A progress dialog appears with three phases:
- "Applying Circuit and Device Type Templates..."
- "Updating Device Labels..."
- "Updating Wirepath Labels..."
- The operation completes and labels are updated
What Happens
- Circuit validation — All circuit records are validated against their template definitions
- Device type validation — All device type records are validated against their templates
- Current value sync — Device types configured to use device-level battery current values are synced from the device table
- Cache refresh — The entire entity cache is reloaded to reflect changes
- Label update — Device and wirepath labels are regenerated on the active drawing
When to Use
- After importing updated templates via
ATUPDATE_PROJECT - When circuit properties appear incorrect or out of sync with templates
- After manual database edits that may have introduced inconsistencies
- As a troubleshooting step when circuits aren't behaving as expected
Tips
- This is a project-wide operation — it affects all circuits and device types, not just the active drawing
- The operation may take a few seconds on large projects
- You can cancel during the label update phases if needed
- After completion, verify your circuits in the Circuits palette
