Auto-Draw Shared Wirepath

Command

Command Description
ATAUTO_DRAW_SHARED_WIREPATH Draw shared wirepaths that cross-connect between circuit types

Ribbon: FireCAD > Draw > Draw Shared Wirepath

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open
  • The active drawing must be part of the project

Overview

The ATAUTO_DRAW_SHARED_WIREPATH command draws wirepath segments that can span across different circuit types. Unlike the standard wirepath drawing commands that route within a single circuit, shared wirepaths handle scenarios where multiple circuit types share physical conduit or cable pathways.

Steps

  1. Type ATAUTO_DRAW_SHARED_WIREPATH in the AutoCAD command line
  2. FireCAD calculates cross-type routing paths
  3. Shared wirepath segments are created in the drawing

When to Use

  • When multiple circuit types (e.g., SLC and NAC) share the same conduit run
  • When devices on different circuits are physically routed through shared pathways
  • For complex routing scenarios where standard per-circuit routing is insufficient
