Auto-Draw Active Wirepath

Command

Command Description
ATAUTO_DRAW_ACTIVE_WIREPATH Automatically draw the wirepath for the active circuit

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open
  • An active circuit must be selected in the Circuits palette

Overview

The ATAUTO_DRAW_ACTIVE_WIREPATH command uses a graph layout algorithm to automatically draw wirepath segments connecting all devices on the active circuit. Segments are created between devices based on their positions and circuit topology.

Steps

  1. Select the target circuit in the Circuits palette
  2. Type ATAUTO_DRAW_ACTIVE_WIREPATH in the AutoCAD command line
  3. FireCAD calculates the optimal routing between circuit devices
  4. Wirepath segments are drawn in the drawing
  5. Labels are applied to the new segments

Tips

  • Run this after connecting all devices to a circuit to create the physical routing
  • For routing all circuits at once, use ATAUTO_DRAW_CIRCUIT_WIREPATH
  • After drawing, you can manually adjust segment positions if the automatic routing isn't optimal
