Locking All Circuit Addresses

Command

Command Description
ATLOCK_ALL_CIRCUIT_ADDRESSES Lock all existing addresses on the active circuit

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open
  • An active circuit must be selected in the Circuits palette

Overview

The ATLOCK_ALL_CIRCUIT_ADDRESSES command locks all current device addresses on the active circuit. Locked addresses remain fixed even when devices are added, removed, or resequenced on the circuit. This prevents automatic re-addressing from changing established device addresses.

Steps

  1. Select the target circuit in the Circuits palette
  2. Type ATLOCK_ALL_CIRCUIT_ADDRESSES in the AutoCAD command line
  3. All addresses on the circuit are locked
  4. Device labels update automatically

When to Use

  • After finalizing device addressing on a circuit
  • Before making circuit changes that would trigger re-addressing
  • When field devices have already been programmed with specific addresses

Tips

  • Locked addresses are preserved through resequencing and device additions
  • To unlock addresses later, use ATUNLOCK_ALL_CIRCUIT_ADDRESSES
  • To manage individual locked addresses, use ATMANAGE_LOCKED_CIRCUIT_ADDRESSES
