Overview
The ATWBLOCK_ALL command exports every block definition in the current drawing as a separate .dwg file. Each block becomes its own drawing file, saved to a folder you select. This is useful for creating a block library or sharing individual device definitions.
Steps
- Type
ATWBLOCK_ALLin the AutoCAD command line - A folder selection dialog appears
- Select the target folder where block files should be saved
- Click OK
- A progress dialog shows the export progress
- Each block definition is saved as an individual
.dwgfile named after the block
What Gets Exported
- Every non-standard block definition in the current drawing
- Each file contains a single block definition
- External references and overlay references are excluded
- Layout blocks are excluded
File Format
Files are saved in AutoCAD 2013 format (.dwg) for broad compatibility.
Tips
- Create a dedicated folder for the export to keep files organized
- Invalid filename characters in block names are automatically sanitized
- Use this to build a reusable block library outside of the FireCAD project system
- The progress dialog shows estimated time remaining for large block collections
