Saving Project Blocks to File

Command

Command Description
ATSAVE_PROJECT_BLOCKS_TO_FILE Export all project blocks to a drawing file with automatic layout

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open

Overview

The ATSAVE_PROJECT_BLOCKS_TO_FILE command creates a drawing file containing all project device blocks, automatically arranged using graph layout optimization. This produces a reference drawing showing all available device blocks in the project.

Steps

  1. Type ATSAVE_PROJECT_BLOCKS_TO_FILE in the AutoCAD command line
  2. FireCAD automatically:
    • Creates a new drawing with all project block definitions
    • Arranges the blocks using graph layout optimization
    • Zooms to fit all blocks in the view

What Gets Created

  • A drawing file containing every device block definition in the project
  • Blocks are arranged in an organized layout (not overlapping)
  • The layout uses the yFiles graph engine for clean positioning

Tips

  • Use this to create a reference sheet for all available devices in your project
  • The output is a standard .dwg file that can be plotted or shared
  • Run this after importing new devices via ATUPDATE_PROJECT to generate an updated reference
