ATCONVERT_PROXY_OBJECTS Convert proxy objects to native AutoCAD objects

Prerequisites

  • A drawing must be open

Overview

Converts proxy objects (objects created by applications not currently loaded) to native AutoCAD objects. The drawing is saved as a new DWG file with the conversions applied.

Steps

  1. Type ATCONVERT_PROXY_OBJECTS in the AutoCAD command line
  2. Proxy objects are converted to native equivalents
  3. The result is saved as a new DWG file

When to Use

  • Opening drawings created with third-party applications that left proxy objects
  • Cleaning up drawings with "proxy object" warnings
  • Preparing drawings for users who don't have the originating application
