The ATEDIT_PROJECT_PROPERTIES command opens a dialog to edit metadata about your project, such as the project type, location, and construction details. These properties are stored in the project database and synced to AutoCAD custom drawing properties.

Steps

  1. Type ATEDIT_PROJECT_PROPERTIES in the AutoCAD command line
  2. The Edit Project Properties dialog opens with current values loaded
  3. Edit any of the following fields:
Field Description
Project Name Name of the project
Project Type Type classification
Industry Type Industry classification
Construction Type Construction classification
Occupancy Class Building occupancy class
City Project city
State Project state
Zip Project ZIP code
  1. Click OK to save changes, or Cancel to discard

What Happens After Apply

When you save changes:

  1. Properties are written to the project database
  2. Custom drawing properties (prefixed with AMTS_) are updated on the active drawing
  3. The drawing display regenerates to reflect any changes

Tips

  • These are the same properties configured during project creation (Page 2 of the wizard)
  • Project properties appear in title block reports and other documentation
  • Changes sync to AutoCAD custom properties, which can be referenced in title blocks
