You may wish to control the color of the device labels in a project.
The commands to accomplish this are part of a few that are not accessible from the FireCAD Tools menu. They must be accessed through the AutoCAD command line.
AutoCAD will offer the commands which begin with the text you enter so you may select the one you want.
To do so, begin typing on the command line, "ATSET_DEVICE_ATTRIBUTES_COLOR_"
In the screenshot below, you see that AutoCAD offers two commands beginning with that text:
- "ATSET_DEVICE_ATTRIBUTES_COLOR_WHITE"
- "ATSET_DEVICE_ATTRIBUTES_COLOR_BYLAYER"
In the example below, we select ATSET_DEVICE_ATTRIBUTES_COLOR_WHITE. All the attributes on all the FireCAD device blocks are affected by this action. They immediately become white.
In the example below, we select ATSET_DEVICE_ATTRIBUTES_COLOR_BYLAYER. All the attributes on all the FireCAD device blocks are affected by this action. They immediately become the color of the layer on which the blocks are located. This makes them the same color as that of the block's geometry.
Although FireCAD device blocks representing a specific device are usually all on the same layer, this setting can be changed for any individual device (or selection of devices).
This is accomplished by changing the layer on which a device is located to one with a different color.
In the screenshot below, one specific smoke detector, "D001" has been selected and placed on a layer called "YELLOW LAYER". You can see this by viewing the selection in the Layer Properties panel on the ribbon in the screenshot below. You can see that the geometry of the block and the device label are both yellow.
In the screenshot below, another specific smoke detector, "D002" has been selected and placed on a layer called "MAGENTA LAYER". You can see this by viewing the selection in the Layer Properties panel on the ribbon in the screenshot below. You can see that the geometry of the block and the device label are both magenta.
