Overview
The ATIMPORT_ENTITY_PROPERTIES command imports entity property values from an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file. This allows you to bulk-update device properties from external data sources.
Steps
- Type
ATIMPORT_ENTITY_PROPERTIESin the AutoCAD command line - A file browser dialog appears (filtered to Excel and CSV files)
- Select the import file and click Open
- FireCAD imports the property data
- A progress dialog appears:
- "Updating Device Labels..."
- "Updating Wirepath Labels..."
- Labels update to reflect the imported properties
File Format
The import file should match the format produced by ATEXPORT_ENTITY_PROPERTIES_TO_EXCEL. Use an exported file as a template.
Tips
- Back up your project before bulk importing properties
- Verify the import by running
ATVALIDATEafterward
