Adding a Circuit Pair

Command

Command Description
ATADD_CIRCUIT_PAIR Add circuit pair associations to selected segments

Prerequisites

  • A FireCAD project must be open
  • An active circuit must be selected in the Circuits palette

Overview

The ATADD_CIRCUIT_PAIR command creates circuit pair associations on selected wirepath segments. This is used when two circuits share the same physical conduit or cable pathway, allowing FireCAD to track shared routing for wire fill calculations and conduit sizing.

Steps

  1. Select the active circuit in the Circuits palette
  2. Type ATADD_CIRCUIT_PAIR in the AutoCAD command line
  3. Select the segment entities to pair
  4. Press Enter to confirm
  5. The segments are associated as circuit pairs

Tips

  • Circuit pairing affects wire fill and conduit fill calculations
  • Paired segments share physical pathway information for accurate fill reporting
