Controlling the appearance of linetypes in model and paper space

We get many questions regarding how to control the visibility of the letters used on the FireCAD-generated linetypes used to define cable/wire assignments.

The most common question is "why are the letters not showing up?"

CONTROLLING THE APPEARANCE WITH THE "MSLTSCALE" AND THE "PSLTSCALE" COMMANDS

IN MODEL SPACE - The view below shows lines not showing lettering in model space.

  • To remedy this, toggle the AutoCAD MSLTSCALE setting to 0 as shown above.
  • Then use the REGEN or REGENALL command.

  • The result is that linetype lettering is refreshed to be visible. See below.

IN PAPER SPACE - The view below shows lines not showing lettering in paper space.

  • To remedy this, toggle the AutoCAD PSLTSCALE setting to 0 as shown above.
  • Then use the REGENALL command.

  • Change setting to 0

  • Use the AutoCAD REGENALL command

  • The result is that linetype lettering is refreshed to be visible. See below.
