CONNECTING 4-WIRE HORN-STROBES TO NAC CIRCUITS

This article shows how to configure nac circuits and devices for connections to 4-wire horn-strobes.

The Project Circuit Editor gives us the ability to set compatibility between the panel's nac circuits and the nac devices.

Although not necessary, the powerful Project Circuits Editor gives us the ability to rename a circuit.

We also rename the horn nac circuit.

Now we change the circuit type setting for the individual circuits. This sets the compatibility of the circuit output to the device required input.

Next step is to confirm the change. Be sure to click the Apply button.

We have made the change.

Now we apply the appropriate change to circuit N2-HORN

Let's now look at the devices' required circuits.

The 4-wire horn-strobe can connect to two circuits, a horn type and a strobe type. Since we changed the Nac circuits N1 and N2 to these types, we should be able to connect them.

We cannot connect the P2RL horn-strobe to either circuit N1 or N2 because the P2RL requires a circuit type NAC.

Because we did not change their settings, circuits N3 and N4 are available to connect the P2RL.
